Biography

Jon’s commitment to excellence makes him a first call drummer for MDs, Bandleaders and producers. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2010, and in 2012 was nominated by the worshipful company of musicians as one of 6 jazz musicians to watch out for.

He has been a member of Pandora’s Jukebox since it’s beginning in 2006, and together have performed at 100s of event in the UK and abroad.

In 2010, Jon made his debut as an arranger and bandleader with 12-piece Salsa band “Son Rico”.

In 2012, Jon joined the Los Charly’s Orchestra, with a 3 year residency at London’s Floridita.

In 2013, Jon had the pleasure of joining Buddy Greco and Lezlie Ander’s band, performing in theatres across the UK. Highlights included headlining at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club on New Years Eve.

In 2014, Jon made his debut as a composer, writing for his sextet, with regular performances across the London jazz scene.

In 2015 he started working for the Diamond Skyline Orchestra, performing at high-end corporate events.

In 2015, he was asked to join John Cervantes’ Jazz Flamenco group,. He played on the album, “Crossing the Threshold”, Performance highlights included performing in the London Jazz Festival and the Vortex Jazz club.

Jon’s confident reading skills and knowledge of various styles makes him a reliable dep. He has recently been depping on Hairspray the musical and Strictly Ballroom.

Jon also enjoys teaching. He has taught at a number of different schools, in addition to giving private tuition. He recently gave a masterclass at Hull University.
